We have our factory in Buffalo, NY. Every aspect of the helmet is designed, tested, and made in the USA with almost all domestically sourced materials.

About Us

A custom helmet fits better, is well ventilated, and is as light as possible. By removing excess materials with a custom fit and using our proprietary polymer material, we're making a helmet unlike what you've ever used before. We have three decades of experience in helmet design and guarantee to deliver a helmet that makes no compromises.

Once you’ve purchased your helmet, you will receive an order confirmation email with a link to download our KAV Fit App.

With a few simple taps, our KAV Fit App will capture your unique contours, for a helmet that’s made exclusively for you. Our KAV Fit App uses a single photo to extract over 100 data points from 18 facial features — leveraging advanced image analysis to ensure a personalized, precision fit.

You’ll then work with our Fit Experts to confirm your fit before we send your helmet to final production!

Nope! As long as you’re happy with the fit of your current helmet, you’ll just follow the steps in your order confirmation email to request that we use the same measurements for your new helmet.

Our helmets are recommended for any activity that you wear an open-faced helmet for.

All of our helmets feature interior fit pads in the top and rear of the helmet. These fit pads have a spring mechanism built into them that allows 6-8mm of travel ensuring both a snug fit as well as giving your custom helmet a bit of play to account for the winter season or a new haircut.

KAV has redesigned the bike helmet from the ground up. We have integrated the shearing component of MIPS into our helmets by the utilization of our proprietary Hex Honeycomb Structure™ which is anisotropic. This structure allows the helmet to shear when needed or compress when needed based on the impact eliminating the need for both MIPS or an extra layer.

Our helmets are engineered with our proprietary Hex Honeycomb Structure™ which has the most efficient energy absorption to weight ratio or crumple zone design to redistribute energy & force upon impact.

Once your helmet is printed and assembled, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details. Shipping typically takes 3-5 business days

At the moment we can only ship within the US, but we are planning to introduce international shipping in the future. We are working on getting the certifications and logistics in place so that international customers can have a positive experience!

We have a 5 year warranty on all of our helmets.

Yes! Sh*t happens. Our Crash Replacement Program has you covered. Should you need it, you receive one full replacement of your helmet (same model) during your five year warranty. Just send us a note in support (hello@kavsports.com) and we’ll get started on your new helmet.

We offer a Custom Fit Guarantee. This is not a keep it in the box/ return it as-new policy. We want you to go out and ride hard in your helmet. If after 30 days of receiving your helmet it’s not the best fitting helmet you’ve ever experienced, we will give you a full refund.

We accept all major credit cards as well as Shop Pay. Payment is required prior to us producing your fit cap and final helmet.

Yes, we offer a 10% discount for military and first responders. Please email us a copy of your valid ID at hello@kavsports.com for us to review and we’ll send you a code.
