Every KAV helmet is designed, tested, and manufactured in Buffalo, New York. We produce our helmets in the USA using predominantly domestically sourced materials.

About Us

The biggest difference is how each helmet fits.

Rhoan is our custom-fit helmet. After you place your order, you'll complete the Fit Process (link to Custom Fit Process page). We use your measurements to manufacture a helmet built specifically for your unique head shape.

Silvo is our ready-to-wear helmet. It's available in standard sizes and ships without the custom fitting process, making it a great option for riders who want KAV performance with faster delivery.

No two heads are exactly alike. A custom-fit helmet is designed around your unique shape, helping improve comfort, stability, ventilation, and overall performance. Because we build the helmet specifically for you, we can eliminate unnecessary material and create a helmet as light as possible.

After you place your order, you'll receive an email with instructions to begin the Fit Process

1. Download the KAV Fit App.
2. Complete a quick facial scan using your compatible device.
3. Our Fit Team reviews your measurements and sends you a Fit Cap in the mail.
4. You'll confirm your fit with our Fit Experts, and your helmet will begin final production.
5. We manufacture your helmet and ship it directly to you.

The entire process is designed to ensure your helmet fits correctly before it's built.

If you're happy with the fit of your current helmet, there's no need to repeat the Fit Process. Just follow the steps in your order confirmation email to indicate that we already have your measurements on file!

No problem. If your device isn't compatible with the KAV Fit App, we'll provide a manual Fit Kit so you can submit your measurements for the Fit Cap!

Yes. The interior padding system provides several millimeters of movement, allowing the helmet to comfortably accommodate a cycling cap, or small changes like a fresh haircut.

Rather than adding a separate slip layer, KAV integrates rotational impact management directly into the helmet's internal Hex Honeycomb Structure™. This allows the helmet to manage both linear and rotational forces as part of its core design.

Our proprietary Hex Honeycomb Structure™ is engineered to absorb and redistribute impact energy while minimizing weight. It forms the foundation of our helmet's protection system and enables the custom-fit construction that makes every KAV helmet unique.

KAV helmets are designed for cycling and other activities that require an open-face helmet. Always choose a helmet that's certified and intended for your specific sport.

Once your fit has been approved, your helmet enters production. After it's built and assembled, you'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information. Delivery typically takes 3–5 business days after shipment.

Currently, we ship within the United States and Canada only. We're actively working toward expanding international shipping in the future.

Every KAV helmet includes a five-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects.

We stand behind every custom fit. Ride in your helmet for up to 30 days. If it isn't the best-fitting helmet you've owned, we'll provide a full refund through our Custom Fit Guarantee.

We offer a Custom Fit Guarantee. This is not a keep it in the box/ return it as-new policy. We want you to go out and ride hard in your helmet. If after 30 days of receiving your helmet it’s not the best fitting helmet you’ve ever experienced, we will give you a full refund.
