Every helmet is custom made so even for the same circumference, your head shape can change the size by +/- 20 grams. However someone who is in the middle of medium (~57.5 cm circumference) can expect their KAV Rhoan helmet to weigh 300grams.

Yes, the Rhoan features a rear ratchet mechanism built into them that allows 8-10mm of travel ensuring both a snug fit as well as giving your custom helmet a bit of play to account for the winter season or a new haircut.

"Already crashed in it and it almost certainly saved my life. Helmet was destroyed but I only wound ip with a headache for a couple of days when i should have had a major concussion or worse. So i can vouch for the safety first hand. It is really comfortable, fits perfectly, and is quite cool in hot conditons. Any airflow at all is directed to optimize cooling and it works. i’m between sizes in off the shelf helmets and i always worried about the fit. This solves rhat problem."

A truly unique helmet

"KAV have been fantastic in helping blind rider Ian Beverly from the UK to get a unique fitted helmet. Ian was born with a uniquely shaped head incapable of fitting a conventional helmet, the rules of his local visually impaired tandem club requires a properly fitting helmet, so without KAV Ian would not have become a regular tandem rider. The whole KAV process has been wonderful and produced a 100% perfect fitting helmet - unbelievable!"

"I finally have a helmet that doesn’t look ridiculous on my head. Not sure what it is about my head shape, but most helmets I’ve tried on just never really looked right. Sure they fit well and did their job, but let’s be honest…we’re after aesthetics as well. I took a chance and ordered a Rohan core and while it did take a little bit longer than expected to arrive it was worth the wait. It fits like a dream and looks super sleek as well. I’ve used it on a handful of rides so far, mostly 60 degree weather, but did test it out on around a 75 degree day and didn’t feel like my head was over heating at all (I know 75 degrees isn’t the best test, but it’s still winter). If you’re in the market for a new helmet but have a little bit of time/patience to wait for it to be made and shipped I highly recommend going with this."
